    Well I wish I had seen these posts prior to completing my repair.
    I received from SquareTrade a repair claim approval and a claim# for my HP computer I purchased from Staples. The e-mail indicated I simply needed to reply to that e-mail with the repair receipt and the repair would be quickly reimbursed.
    Today, I submitted that receipt for $225.00.
    Jerry, a SquareTrade Care Specialist, indicated a copy of the purchase receipt of the HP device was required in order to receive reimbursement. I quickly provided that. Jerry, a SquareTrade Care Specialist, responded that there was some confusion with the warranty and he would also need a purchase receipt of the warranty.

    My reply was that once I received the repair claim approval and submitted the receipt then that reimbursement should be honored.

    Its been 4 hours and I have not heard back from Jerry, a SquareTrade Care Specialist.

    I am looking into filing complaints with the BBB against both Staples and SquareTrade. Now that I see the above I will also reach out to TrustPilot.

  2. Took a warrenty on a desk top computer. Went through three representatives before I got one that recognized my complaint. Then gave me an extension to call back. Then when I tried to call back there is no where for extension to be put in. Had to pay for repairs because the computer in question is critical for some school work being done in connection with my profession. One rep was just rude and unhelpful. Two were somewhat helpful. Nothing helped for first three. No one offered or recognized problem until put in on line. Company fails to live up to any of its hype about customer service or solving problem. Calls come back relative fast, but no solutions. Seems to be a bungled management relying on fast talk and used car salesmen techniques. Done better with face to face used car salesmen.

  3. Horrible service, Rude Customer Reps and have provided me with Incorrect information as compared to what the claim approval email says.

    I filed a laptop claim and the claim was approved immediately after sending the item to squaretrade. But my payment has been delayed on my paypal account. when ever i call squaretrade the call gets routed to India call center and the folks there have no knowledge why there is a delay and promise to call back in 24-48 hours which never happens.

    I hope SquareTrade management wakes up and better handles this MESS before customers stop trusting them…

    Yurgis and Ronald I am having an issue with Square Trade also. I purchased a tablet and the Square Trade Warranty last year. I filed a claim on November 29, 2014 and as of December 19, 2014 I have not received my money! I have spoken to several people and have begun to write down names. I spoke with Debra ext #1936 on December 16, 2014, who told me she was creating a ticket to solve this issue with the refund. I then called on December 19, 2014 and spoke with Matt ext 1644, he told me their was no ticket created on December 16, 2014. He informs me he is creating a ticket and the issue should be resolved in 4-8 days. That’s nice but I have been waiting for my dang money for two weeks. The received my tablet on December 5, 2014. They need to FedEx my check!

    It has been almost two months and Even providing you with the Fedex tracking number still you can not find my laptop. This another reason of why square trade sucks.
    No one seems to know what they are doing.
    I need an answer on where my laptop is and why no one knows.
    Again — SQUARE TRADE — ” SUCKS”

    You are full of crap!!! I am tired of your lies!!! I have call you (Claim services) around 15 times due to the fact that no one seems to know where my laptop is. It has been almost 2 months since i have sent my laptop for repairs and your company has not sent it back yet. The answer I get is ” Oh, we will call you back with an answer” no one never call back. And by the way, did I mentioned that this is the third time I sent the same laptop in for repairs. This company is full of crap. No one seems to know what they are doing. I have been dealing with you for the past 6 months and still i do not have my laptop.
    Where is my laptop and when will i have it back?
    I will never buy your services again and I will not recommend it to anyone.

  7. What a load of crap I purchased a warranty through this company and they did not honor it, instead they offered to refund the amount of cost of my warranty only. So it would seem that they take your money in good faith and if your item needs repair they just will elect to refund the warranty price and not fix the item that they have received funds to protect. Classic fraud don’t you think?. How dare they claim to be a upstanding company. I wonder how much money they paid to trust pilot for this bogus award anyway? really?
